Frequently Asked Questions About Turmeric Chai Latte
What is Turmeric Chai Latte?
Turmeric Chai Latte, also known as Turmeric Latte or Golden Milk, is a traditional-inspired drink made with turmeric, coconut milk and different spices.
At Fitago, we have created an organic formula combining dehydrated coconut milk, turmeric, Ceylon cinnamon, ginger and black pepper. The result is a creamy, aromatic and spicy blend that can be enjoyed both hot and cold.
But our Turmeric Chai Latte is not designed solely for its taste. The combination of its ingredients has been carefully selected with the characteristics of curcumin, one of the main compounds found in turmeric, in mind.
What are the benefits of Turmeric Chai Latte?
Turmeric is traditionally known for its properties and its content of curcuminoids, particularly curcumin.
Curcumin is one of the compounds in turmeric that has been extensively studied for its relationship with inflammatory processes in the body. This is why the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric are one of the main reasons it has traditionally been used in different cultures.
Our Turmeric Chai Latte also contains ginger and black pepper, ingredients traditionally associated with digestive wellbeing.
The formula therefore combines ingredients selected not only for their taste, but also for their characteristics:
- Turmeric: a source of curcuminoids, especially curcumin.
- Black pepper: contains piperine, which may increase the bioavailability of curcumin.
- Coconut milk: provides plant-based fat and helps create a creamy drink.
- Ginger: traditionally used to support comfortable digestion.
- Ceylon cinnamon: adds flavour and aroma to the blend.
Why is turmeric known for its anti-inflammatory properties?
Turmeric contains curcuminoids, a group of natural compounds that includes curcumin.
Curcumin has been extensively studied for its interaction with different mechanisms involved in the body's inflammatory response. This is why turmeric has traditionally been used as an ingredient associated with wellbeing and the balance of inflammatory processes.
Our Turmeric Chai Latte makes it easy to incorporate turmeric into your daily diet in a simple and enjoyable way.
Why combine turmeric with black pepper?
Black pepper is a key ingredient in our formula.
It contains piperine, a compound that has been studied for its ability to increase the bioavailability of curcumin. This is particularly interesting because curcumin on its own has relatively low bioavailability.
That is why we combine turmeric and black pepper in our Turmeric Chai Latte: turmeric provides curcuminoids, while black pepper provides piperine.
Why does it contain coconut milk?
Curcumin is fat-soluble, meaning that it has an affinity for fats.
For this reason, we have included dehydrated coconut milk in our formula. In addition to providing a creamy texture and mild flavour, it provides plant-based fat that may support the absorption of fat-soluble compounds such as curcumin.
Our formula therefore combines three particularly interesting elements:
Turmeric + black pepper + coconut milk
A combination designed to enjoy turmeric while taking into account both its properties and those of curcumin itself.
Does Turmeric Chai Latte support digestion?
Ginger and turmeric have traditionally been used as ingredients associated with digestive wellbeing.
Ginger, in particular, is traditionally used to support comfortable digestion. Combined with cinnamon and other spices, it creates a warm and aromatic drink that can be especially enjoyable after meals.
Our Turmeric Chai Latte can therefore easily be incorporated into a daily routine based on a varied and balanced diet.
How do you prepare Turmeric Latte?
Preparing our Golden Milk is very simple.
Mix one serving of Turmeric Chai Latte with hot water or your favourite plant-based drink and stir until smooth and creamy.
You can also use your favourite plant-based drink to achieve an even creamier texture.
During warmer months, you can prepare it cold by mixing it with a plant-based drink and ice.
You can also add it to porridge, smoothies, yoghurt, desserts and other recipes.
When should you drink Turmeric Chai Latte?
You can enjoy our Turmeric Latte at any time of day.
It is especially enjoyable:
- In the morning: as an alternative to coffee or other hot drinks.
- After meals: thanks to its combination of spices and warm, digestive profile.
- In the afternoon: as a comforting caffeine-free hot drink.
- Before bed: as it contains no caffeine, you can include it in your evening routine if you enjoy a warm drink.
There is no specific time when you need to take it to enjoy its ingredients. The important thing is to find the moment that best fits your routine.
Does Turmeric Chai Latte contain caffeine?
No. Fitago Turmeric Chai Latte contains no caffeine.
It contains no coffee, tea or other stimulant ingredients, so you can enjoy it at any time of day.
What is the difference between Turmeric Latte and Golden Milk?
Turmeric Latte, Golden Milk and Turmeric Chai Latte are different names commonly used for similar drinks made with turmeric and spices.
Recipes can vary, but they usually have turmeric and a plant-based liquid as common ingredients.
