Fitago was born in 2024 with a clear purpose: to become the healthy and meaningful alternative to many "fitness" products that really offer nothing. In a sector where marketing often glosses over unwanted ingredients, we are committed to being transparent and consistent with what we believe in.
From the greek "Phyto" which means plant. If you lived in Paris in the year 1650 or London in the year 1830 and decided to stop eating meat, you would not tell your friends that you had become a vegetarian. You would tell them you have become "Phytagorean". From Phytagorean -> Fitago.
From Tarifa (Spain) we work to provide organic nutrition products of the highest quality, in an ethical and responsible way. This beautiful natural environment inspires us to take care of your health and the planet's.
Meet the founder
Hi! I'm Javier, the founder of Fitago. Friends and professionals help me out from time to time, but for now I'm the one on the front line behind this project. I went from being a 93kg rugby player to a 79kg vegetarian surfer and yogi. I've always been passionate about nutrition and taken great care of what I eat, with the goal of feeling good and performing well.
Thanks to my previous job at a successful software startup, I had the opportunity to travel and live in places like Costa Rica, Mexico, Morocco, Thailand and Indonesia. During that time I followed a strictly vegetarian diet and, despite my efforts to train and eat well, I struggled to maintain my weight and build muscle mass.
I started looking for products to supplement my protein intake, but I found it hard to find something that ticked all my boxes: organic, well-formulated and good-tasting. I saw the opportunity to develop a product where I would be my own first customer and went for it.
Now I continue my passion for a healthy life by developing new products and bringing Fitago to more and more people.
